Show Local Echoes. Mrs. E. L. Swalberg was hostess Wednesday afternoon for the Social plrcle club. Mrs. Swalberg served jefreshmcnts after the regular pro. gram. The T. B. club spent Wednesday evening at tne picture show and af-tor-show luneheon at the confectionery. confection-ery. Niels Slmonsen came in contact with a belt in operation at Jensen's flour mill Monday by which he suffer- badly laeerated arm. He was given almost immediate care by Dr. Ilagan. The Daughter of the Indian War Veterans have partially organized in Gunnison, with Mrs. Clara Ludvig-on Ludvig-on ms regent and Mrs. Maria D. Kearns vice-regent. A meeting of the organization was held Tuesday. Mrs. Adolph Peterson Is visiting at American Fork, due to the death of her father, William Grant, whose fu-Brl fu-Brl was held Tuesday. Mrs. Peter-Son's Peter-Son's aged father died last Saturday, two weeks all but a day since he visited vis-ited his danghter and also addressed the sacrament meeting Sunday after noon In Gunnison ward. Mrs. E. E. Peterson entertained the G. A. club jesterday. The afternoon after-noon was spent for an hour reading from the club's book, which was followed fol-lowed by several musical numbers. Two new members, Mrs. C. M. Mad-sen Mad-sen and Mrs. Hannah Jepson were received. Mrs. Peterson was assisted assis-ted in serving, by her daughter, Virginia Vir-ginia and Miss Madge Erickson. Mrs. Emily Knighton and Mrs. Anna C. Chrlstenson also were present. The evening card club had their initial meet Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. J. M. Knighton. A delicious de-licious luncheon was served to the! following members: Mr. and Mrs. J. Bown, Mr. and Mrs Neil Sorenson, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Halverson, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Chrlstenson, Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Overfelt, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Jones, Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Hagan, Mrs. Kay B. Metcalf. Joel E. Ricks and Mrs. O. H. Halverson were invited guests. Jimes Bown and Mrs. Ray B. Metcalf Met-calf were awarded the prizes lor the highest scores. The club expects to meet regularly every Tuesday evening, even-ing, tne next hostess being Mrs. J. Bown. |
