Bulgaria's Main Conditions for Conclusion Conclu-sion of Peace Would Permit Turks to Retain That City and Strip of Coast Territory in Europe. Sofia, Bulgaria. The allied Balkan, nations on Tuesday assented to the Turkish proposal to discuss the terms of an armistice and eventual peace. The reply sent to the dispatch of the grand vizier to King Ferdinand of Bulgaria, Bul-garia, says: "The Bulgarian government, after agreement with the allied cabinets of Servia, Montenegro and Greece, informs in-forms the porte that plenipotentiaries have been appointed with instructions-to instructions-to arrange with the commander in. chief of the Turkish armies the conditions condi-tions of an armistice and subsequently a proceed with the conclusion of peace." Bulgaria's conditions for agreeing to. an armistice were transmitted to Constantinople Con-stantinople early this morning. They were accompanied by Bulgaria's main conditions for the conclusion of peace, the principal stipulation of whicti permits per-mits Turkey to retain the city of Constantinople Con-stantinople and a strip of coast territory terri-tory in Europe. It is understood that the terms of the allies for an armistice are moderate moder-ate and that Turkey may save Constantinople Con-stantinople if she accepts them. Respecting Albania, it is said in well informed quartels that the Balkan league probably will not object to that country remaining under the suzerainty suzerain-ty of the sultan, and that the powers will acquiesce in this. |
