A large number of Salt Lakers will go to H Ogden on Monday, April 15th, to attend the B dance there at the Colonial, to be given by H twenty of the younger girls of that city. Reed will be the hostess at the next affair. Miss Margaret McClure was the hostess at an informal tea at her home on Tuesday. 'Mr. and Mrs. Windsor "V. Foster of New York, Mrs. Aaron Keyser will entertain at the Pres-cott Pres-cott apartments at a luncheon today. Mrs. A. H. Peabody and Miss Margaret Clark will not return until the first of May. They are at present visiting in Philadelphia. Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Miller gave a dinner at theii home on Thursday evening in honor of Mrs. Wm. R. Foster. Mrs. John F. Cowan will attend the commence ment exercises at Vassar, where her daughter, Miss Frances Cowan, is now attending college. The ladies of Fort Douglas received their friends on Thursday at the post. Mrs. C. C. Dey entertained at an informal luncheon at her home on Wednesday. Miss Curey Marshall has returned from New York after a visit of some weeks with Mrs. Walter Wal-ter Stone. Miss Marshall spent the greater part of the winter abroad. A. C. Milner will return within a day or two from New York, where he has been during the past six months. Mrs. Fred Leonard and Miss Emma Cullen have returned to the city after spending some time at Ocean Park. The good stork arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schoppe on Monday, leaving a baby boy. M Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Griffin are now at home at the Boyer residence pending their departure for the east and Europe. The Griffin home has been taken by W. H. Cayley and his mother and sister. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Keyser have gone to San $j Francisco and will remain a fortnight. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gordon and their baby will spend the summer in California, leaving here some time in May. The Charity Association held their meeting on Monday of this week with Mrs. O. J. Salisbury. There were a large number of the younger so ciety matrons and girls of the association present. pres-ent. Miller entertained informally at a Kensington on Wednesday, assisted by Mrs. Fred Hornung and Mrs. H. R MacMillen. Sixteen friends were entertained at dinner by Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dunshee Wednesday evening at their home in Westminster Heights. Mr. John S. McCune Critchlow left for San Francisco on Tuesday, where he will reside permanently. per-manently. Mrs. Ledyard M. Bailey was the hostess at a luncheon on Wednesday in honor of her mother, Mrs. M. H. Austin. Covers were laid for ten. Miss Marie Odell entertained informally for Miss Florence Shanihan of Grand Rapids on Tuesday evening. "Ragging" was the feature oi the event, followed by an informal supper. Miss Shanihan will be the guest of Miss Odell for a week of ten days longer. Mrs. Ackland-Hood, who has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. John A. Marshall, has gone to Berkeley Berk-eley where she will visit her mother, Mrs. Kirk-patrick. Kirk-patrick. The cadet hop of the high school will take place at the Odeon on April 12th. The officers of the battallion are making great preparations for the event. |
