Show THE NEW BILLS. SALT LAKE THEATRE The Forbes comedy success of last year in New York, "The Commuters," Com-muters," is announced for the coming week at the Theatre. The bill opens Monday evening and goes until Saturday for the benefit of the conference crowds. James Forbes, the author, will be remembered as responsible for "The Chorus Chor-us Lady" and "The Traveling Salesman," among . other of his plays that have been seen locally and "The Commuters" as given in New York last year was one of the most popular comedies of the season. COLONIAL Billy "Single" Clifford, a musical show actor, who has been seen here several times in that sort of entertainment, takes the Colonial Monday evening of next week for the entire week, presenting a musical play called "The Girl, the Man and the Game." It is described as a new farce with music and choruses. ORPHEUM Amelia Stone and Armand Kalisz presenting "Mon Amour," a miniature operetta, is billed as the leading production of the new Orpheum t which opens Sunday. The book of the sketch is by Edgar Allen Wolf, and the music and lyrics by Armand Kalisz. Fpllowlng will come Morny Cash, "The Lancashire Lad"; DIero, piano accordeonist, an Italian instrumentalist; instrumental-ist; Jack Connelly and Margaret Webb in a sketch entitled "A Stormy Finish"; Hal Kelly and Flo ., Wentworth in a character study entitled "Tho Village Lockup," and the DeVoie Trio, athletes, featuring the famous De"Voio trick. These, with another act and the motion pictures will com plete the program. ( GARRICK For the first time in several years playgoers will have an opportunity of seeing tha fine and familiar detective play, "Sherlock Holmes."' It is one of A. Conan Doyle's best stories done in dramatic form for tho stage by William Gillette who for years starred in the drama with Bruce McRae, Frederick Truesdale and others equally prominent in his supporting company. It is one of the best of the older & thrillers and should prove an admirable attraction attrac-tion at the Garrick for the week beginning Monday Mon-day evening. TABERNACLE Nordica will be heard in con- cert at the Tabernacle on Thursday evening nexjt in. pnjunctipn wjth tlie Tabernacle chpir, This will be the big musical event for the Conference visitors and should draw a very large house, as it is part of the program tb have President Taft present during the evening.
