Uah. if AN ORDINANCES. 11 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND M re-enacting Section 386 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903, ns amended by an ordinance passed by tho City Council May 9, 1004, and approved ap-proved by the Mayor May 18, 1004, and by . an ordinance passed by the City Council December 9. 1907, and approved by tho Mayor December 10, 1907. Be it ordnliled by tho City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: Section 1. That Section 3SC of tho Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903, as amended by an ordinance passed by the City Council May 9, 1004, and approved by the Mayor May 18, 1004, and by an ordinance passed by the City Council December 9, 1907, and appi'oved by tho Mayor December 10, 1907, be and tho same hereby is amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows: Section 3SC. Amount. Licenses for peddling; or hawking, in the manner and under the restrictions and condl-tlons condl-tlons prescribed in Sections 386 of (JIlalUGT 27, HHd-Sectionsj-&fir-ttHl-4MM ; 586 as amended, and 6SC of Chapter 46 of tho Revised Ordinances of 1903, may be Issued on paymont of the following sums annually: For a license to peddle or hawk vegetables, garden produce, fruit, butter, but-ter, eggs, poultry, fish and game, for each wagon or stand, each wagon- or stand to have a separate license, fifty ($60.00) dollars per annum. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval. AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and providing for the assessment of the property hereinafter described within the district bounded on the north by the north line of First T?rth street, on the eust by the center l.'ne of Main street (formerly East Temple street), on the south by the south line of South Temple street, and on the west by the center line of Third West street, in Sewer District No. 1, for the construction of sewers. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: Section 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District No. 1, for the construction construc-tion of sewers, to-wlt: In Lots Nos. 5, C, 7 and 8, Block 94; in Lots Nos. 1, 4, 5, G, 7 and 8, Block 84: and in Lots 2, 3, I and 5, Block 86, all In Plat "A," abutting on First North street between Main and West Tomplo streets; on Third West street between North Temple and South Tempio streets; on North Temple street Do-twoon Do-twoon Second Wost and Third Wost streets; and on Second Wost street between be-tween North Temple and South Temple streets, in Sewer District No. 1. This tax Is levied to defray the expense ex-pense of constructing vitrified pipe sewers eight (8) inches In diameter upon the portions of said streets opposite op-posite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said Improvement, Improve-ment, and it is hereby adjudged, determined deter-mined and established that said property prop-erty will bo especially benefited thereby there-by to tho full amount of tho tax hereby here-by .h vied, and said parcels of land nro hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with tho linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of twonty-flvo (25) foot back therefrom, and tho tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land Is six thousand four hundred flfty-ono and 88-100 ($0,461.88) dollars, or two and 040-10,000 ($2.0G40) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for sewer on said portions of the streets above mentioned In Sewer District No. 1, there being 3,125 feet of abutting property within the boundaries bounda-ries of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned In said district, which Is the total cost and cost per front foot of said sewer, according to the contract entered Into for the performance perform-ance of said work with Davis, Heuser ft Drake, dated the 23rd day of July, 1907, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized au-thorized and directed to assess in accordance ac-cordance with tho provisions of this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned: men-tioned: Fronting on First North Street. The east 140 feet of tho north side of Lot 5, the north sido of Lots C and 7, and the west 140 feet of tho north side of Lot 8, Block 94, Plat "A." Fronting on Third Wost Street. Tho north 306 foot of tho wost sido of Lot 4, and tho south 306 feet of tho wost side of Lot 6, Block 84, Plat "A." Fronting on North Tomple Street. The north sido of Lots 6, C and 7 and tho west 140 feet of tho north side of Lot 8, Block 84, Plat "A." Fronting on Second West Street. The east side of Lot 8 and the north 305 feet of the east side of Lot 1. Block 84; the west side of Lots 3, 4 and 6, and the north 140 feet of the west side of Lot 2, Block 85, Plat "A," Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats of said city to a depth of twenty-flve (26) feet back from said streets, and to collect said tax. Section 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent In five equal installments, install-ments, as follows, to-wlt: One-fifth thereof one year after the approval of the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such improvement; im-provement; one-fifth thereof in two years after such approval; one-fifth thereof In three years after such approval; ap-proval; one-fifth thereof In four years after such approval; and one-fifth thereof in five years after such approval. ap-proval. One or more of said installments, install-ments, or the whole tax, may be paid on or before ten days after the approval ap-proval of the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax. One or more Installments, Install-ments, or the whole special tax may be paid on the day any Installment becomes due by paying the amount thereof and interest to date of payment. pay-ment.
