Show Manager Kelley is negotiating for a match "between "be-tween Mike Schreck, who fought a draw with Billy Woods on the coast a few nights ago, and "Twin" Sullivan, whose recent battles show that he is in championship class. If possible, the bout will be arranged for Decoration day, and may be fought under an awning some time during the afternoon on a platform at the Salt Palace track. a& c! O Elaborate arrangements have been completed at teh Theatre for the Clifford-Queenan fight. The stage has been equipped with raised seats, so that the githers can be easily seen from any part of the house. Both men are in splendid condition, and are both, confident of making the weight easily, eas-ily, 135 pounds, at 3 o'clock. The management states that the first preliminary will begin at 8:46 and promises that there wil be no delays. O w w The fans will have a chance to size up Charlie Griflln's importations in tomorrow's contest with the soldier team, and there will probably be a big attendance at the intial game of the season. Dally practice has fashioned the team into form that would do the fan's heart good, and the contest should be lively and stirring. O $v 10& Manager Robinsons' offer to wager ?500 that the winner of the Clifford-Queenan bout can vanquish van-quish Battling Nelson looks like business, and the match, if arranged, should be a good card. It is probable, however, that when Nelson goes against Martin Canole, If such a bout can be arranged, his colors will ont be fluttering quite as high as at present. |
