Show It is a pleasure to see how gracefully one Perry Heath of the Salt Laker Tribune accepts the inevitable. He was getting all ready to assure the small section of the American people that reads the Tribune, how unsafe it would be to nominate nom-inate Theodore Roosevelt for President, but the death of Senator Hanna upset all his calculations and it is clear now that the nomination will be by acclamation, hence there is but one thing to do. -Still, it must be tough on Perry. To support Roosevelt is almost like pleading guilty to all that Roosevelt has charged against him. But Perry comes up smiling to the work, and shows a wonderful won-derful presence of mind in doing so, for it is equivalent to his saying: "They cannot push me off the band wagon even if it does jolt outrageously." |
