Show Utah escaped, or at least put off, a great peril last winter, the peril of having inaugurated here what Is just now demoralizing and destroying the b'usiness of a great part of 'Coloiado. To get a full idea of it we need but copy a few lines from George's Weekly, published in Denver. Hundreds of people in Utah have heard of the famous Rav- 'hide mine, near Sonora, Cal., quite 2,000 miles from the storm center of Colorado. Well, Geoige'fi Weekly says: "Col. Nevlll of the Rawhide mine. called at the headquarters of the Citizens' AlH ance in San Francisco recently and said, 'I am in trouble and want advice.' An investigation of his case revealed the presence of a lot of tougne from Telluride and Cripple Creek with W. F. of M. cards. The Union owned all the peace author- ities and anarchy reigned supreme. The Colonel was driven off his property, and denied the right to operate' it." |
