(Elaine) Morrill, all of Hanksville; Mrs. Terry D. (NonaLee) Turner, Fillmore; Mrs. Rene (Coleen) VanDyke, Lyman; 16 grandchildren; grand-children; mother, Merintha Johnson; brothers and sisters: Mrs. Bernes (NonaBee) Jackson, Salt Lake City; John M. Johnson, Hanksville; Glen Dale Johnson, Sunnyside; Mrs. Jamie (Mary) Olney, Grantsvilie; Mrs. Johnny (Ann) Petrik, Aypen, Wyoming; Mrs. Ronald K. (June) Erickson, Hanksville; and Louis E. Johnson, Hayburn, Idaho. Interment was in the Hanksville " City cemetery. HANKSVILLE Funeral services were held June 15 at Hanksville for Gordon Kent Johnson, 56, Hanksville who died in a Salt Lake City hospital on June 12, 1982. He was born October 28, 1925 on the Big Spring Ranch in Carbon County to Glen P. and Merintha Johnson. He married Galdys F. Quilter, 1949 in the St. George LDS Temple. He was a lifelong resident of Hanksville where he was a prominent business man. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Marine Corp. He was an active member to the LDS church. He was serving as bishop of the Hanksville Ward at the time of his death. He had many family ties and friends in Garfield County communities. He is survived by his |
