Panguitch police officer John Woodruff reported that after a routine check on the young women, it was determined that Kelly Jean Wade, 20, Layton, was wanted in Box Elder County for a failure to appear complaint com-plaint and a bench warrant had been issued for her arrest. She and her companion were held in Panguitch until bail arrangements could be made. Officers warn area residents to use caution in dealing with out-of-the-area ; sales persons and noted that residents should not be afraid to contact the department for a routine check on people to see if they have proper credentials for selling in the area. Officers warn that this type of sale allows for canvassing of a home prior to a theft or burglary. Caseloads for Panguitch City are up over last year at this time, particiualry thefts and burglaries. In addition to recruiting and training additional firefighting volunteers, Pannuilch recently purchased this newer model streamlined pumper unit which will benefit the city greatly in increased capability. |
