Show Tropic Topics Alfred Foster Jr. received an injury to his eye while crossing under a wire fence. He is home from the hospital. Vickie Ahlstrom has been released as the CTR teacher in the Primary. Babies blessed in church Sunday were Kari Lynn, daughter of Allyson Sudweeks, and Wayne Sherrill Ott, son of Sherrill and Karen Ott. Present for the Ott baby's blessing were great grandmother Spencer; grandparents Doyle and Thelma Cottam, Wallace and Mary 6tt; Karen's two brothers and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Spencer from Escalante; Sandra and LaMonte Houston from St. George; Kathy and Gary Davis from Washington. A family dinner was held at the Ott home following. Several Tropic people have been receiving medical treatment this week. Vickie Jensen has her son Allan Schmitt home from the Navy for a month's Christmas leave. Her daughter,. Karen and husband Claud Payne, from Roy are visiting with her for a few days. The Lady Lions entertained en-tertained members of the Lions Club at their annual Christmas dinner party in the Scout House. Hostesses were Violet Littlefield, Bonnie, Helen and Jean Willis. Richard Barton and family spent the weekend with his mother, Beatrice Barton. Ruth Baugh, Keela Mangum and Judy Chynoweth took a group of children to the orthodontist or-thodontist in Richfield. Nellie Mecham visited parents in Cedar City. Bill and Alton Shakespear. were in Tropic during the week to get a load of wood. Mate, Ruth and Justin Baugh visited daughter Kelly and husband in Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Tod Niemann were in Tropic at the John Niemann home. E. R. Shakespear had eye surgery in St. George. Reservations for the Bryce Valley Senior Citizens Christmas party must be nade no later uu.n noon on Wednesday with the town representatives. Thelma Bybee is a patient in the hospital in Panguitch. |
