Show Grace Owens Grace Owens Grace Beckstrom Owens, 72, Panguitch, died Dec. 2, 1981 at her home. She was born Oct. 10, 1909, Panguitch, to Joseph Oscar and Ella Lloyd Beckstrom. She was married to D. Kern Owens, March 28, 1929, St. George LDS Temple. She was active in the auxiliary organizations of the LDS Church. She was a member of the Questers Club in Panguitch. Survivors: husband, Panguitch; sons, Richard Bruce, Panguitch; David LaGene, Mesa, Ariz.; daughters, Mrs. Herman J. (Norma Kay) Houston, Cedar City; Mrs. Benjamin Ben-jamin (Caroline) Bruse, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Calvin (Susan) Allred, Wilcox, Ariz.; 25 grandchildren, grand-children, 14 greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, Mrs. Floyd (Vella) Ahlstrom, Grants Pass, Ore.; brothers, E. Dee, Napa, Calif.; Reed, West Sacramento, Calif.; Ray, San Diego, Calif. Funeral services were held Saturday in the Pangutich Third Ward chapel with Bishopo A. Clair Baldwin, officiating. of-ficiating. R. Bruce Owens offered the family prayer and Barbara Orton and Barbara Heaton played prelude and postlude music. Lena Miller gave the invocation. Speakers were Verna Owens who gave a tribute, H. Frank Orton, Laurel L. Holman and remarks by Bishop Baldwin. Music included songs by the choir and selection by Pam Christensen, Flora Howard, Janice Henrie, Diane Fullmer, Lee Ann Richards and Jean Orton. Ray Tebbs gave the benediction. Burial was in the Panguitch Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where D. LaGene Owens offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were David Houston, Ronald Houston, Mike Houston, Steven Parkinson, Kenneth Parkinson, Chris Parkinson, Mark Owens and Troy Owens. Honorary pallbearers were Shaun Owens, Justin Allred, Micah Owens, Jared Allred, John Houston, Dennis Houston, Richard Houston. |
