Show Santa, Free Movies, Prizes-Await Prizes-Await Christmas Shoppers In an all out effort to promote more shopping at home this year, Panguitch Chamber of Commerce Com-merce has scheduled Santa Claus for the next two Saturdays and slated two Walt Disney films to be shown, free of charge, while moms and dads spend up a storm. Chamber members have spared no expense to make this a Christmas season worth remembering and prizes in the weekly drawings are bigger and better than ever before. Prior to the arrival of Santa each Saturday Satur-day on Main Street at 2 p.m., a matinee will be shown compliments com-pliments of the chamber at the Gem Theater in Pangutich. Merchants have already begun passing out drawing tickets, one per each $5 merchandise purchased pur-chased at any participating Panguitch business. Shoppers are reminded to fill out both halves of drawing tickts and deposit them at any business prior to the Saturday give-away. Each week the chamber will purchase one large prize to be drawn at the end of each Saturday Satur-day session. In addition individual in-dividual stores are offering special discounts on all lines of Christmas stock. The overall grand prize being offered by the Chamber this year is a 15 cubic foot freezer stocked with a cut and wrapped pork. Typical of the prizes to be awarded in coming Saturday drawings will be certificates for free gas, antifreeze from participating par-ticipating service stations, free ice cream, grocery items such as hams, cases of fruit, cases of 7-Up and Pepsi, free month long pass to the movie showhouse, chocolates, wallets, newspaper subscriptions, free dinners, authentic toy trucks, free T-shirts with desired imprinting and many, many additional prizes. Residents throughout the county coun-ty are reminded that they must be present at the drawings to capture cap-ture their prizes if their ticket is selected. All tickets not drawn will be carried over each week until the final drawing on Christmas Eve at 2 p.m. This Christmas seasonn order to have the drawing run more smoothly and children be able to visit with Santa, the chamber has " solicited the assistance of city and county police to block off the downtown area of Main Street until un-til the conclusion of the Christmas drawings. |
