Show By Marva Fletcher 679-8521 The Cannonville LDS Ward Primary presented a beautiful program, on Sunday in Sacrament meeting called "Follow the Prophet." It was really special and the officers and teachers and all of the children chil-dren are to be complimented for the fine way it was presented. It's a joy to see these young people peo-ple perform. Out-of-town visitors to the LDS church meeting on Sunday were Kathy Shakespear, Tropic; Mary Chynoweth, Henrieville and John M. and Judy Henrie, Panguitch; also Jon and Brandi Webster and son, who are visiting visit-ing her parents, Marty and Ethel Rich at the Bryce Canyon Pines Motel. Anita Fletcher went to Spring City and spent three days visiting visit-ing and helping her parents, Clement and Marie Broderick. On Saturday, she and husband, ' Alma went to St. George, where Alma baptized his grandson, David Racker, into the LDS church. Recent visitors in Bryce Valley were Neal and Kathy Carleston. Neal and Kathy were married "Oct. 13 in Mapleton. They have 11 children between them but they are all grown except the youngest of each. Our congratulations to the happy couple. Matt, Cathy and Ryan Fletcher visited friends Shawn and Tina Ridenour in Spanish - Fork, and took pictures of their two little sons who are just two days apart in age. AC and Rita Hammer's new grandson, Wyatt Platter, actually arrived Sept. 30, just one hour after Rita and her daughter, Lila, arrived at the hospital. Rita cared for their other four children chil-dren and there were no obvious adjustment problems after new little Wyatt was added to the family. On their trip to Olympia, Wash., Rita and her sister, Cathy Nygaard of Albuquerque, NM, visited cousins, Mr. and Mrs. E.O. Parmley,.. Donald Joe Parmley and Sara Parmley in Antioch, Calif. E.O. was a paratrooper into Normandy on D-Day. He dropped again into Normandy with the 50th Anniversary Drop and received a medal from the Prime Minister of France. An interesting visit! Rita also enjoyed visits with nieces Gloria . Biersdorf, Eugene, Ore.; and Amy Richardson, San Marcos, Calif, and daughters Lila Hammer, Woodland, Wash, and Carol Poole, San Clemente, Calif. Among other perks of the trip were lunches and a dinner with former co-workers. AC is ever so glad she is home. Desmond and Gretha Twitchell attended their LDS missionary reunion in Orem and visited with President Melchior and all the friends they worked with on their mission to Canada. Cole Twitchell received his LDS mission call. He will be going to the California-San Fernando Valley Mission and will leave early in January. He is a son of LaMonte and Rita Twitchell. Joe and Trish Thompson and family are enjoying a visit with Trish's mother, Rosa Lee McCullam, who came from her home in Exeter, Mo. to spend a few days. Hernan Gajordo and his mother, Lucia Maria Mella came and spent several days with Larry and Glenna Fletcher. The Gajordos are the husband and mother-in-law of the late Lynnae Fletcher Gajordo. Chris and Billie Heaton visited visit-ed his mother, Evelyn Heaton. Also visiting Evelyn and her sister, sis-ter, Bea Reynolds, is another sister, Merle Allen of Fredonia, Ariz. The Reynolds family was able to take Lark Reynolds from the Care Center for his birthday and they had a family gathering at the home of Nick and Jewell Reynolds in Panguitch. Joe and Rae Hughes enjoyed four days of Blue Grass music and fun in Logandale, Nev., last week. Joe said they had a wonderful won-derful time. |
