Show ' Tropic k I;-;;.- It's that time of year when everyone seems to gear up for the coming growing season as well as the tourist season. Charlie Francisco Francis-co and Stan Mecham have already taken a group on horse back rides in the lower country. Rick and Renon Bybee and family spent the weekend in Salt Lake City visiting with relatives all over the valley. The stayed with Renon 's sister and brother-in-law Geri and Dave Munford in South Jordan. Selena Marquardsen and her two daughters spent the night at her mother Agnes Littlefield's on Friday night. They didn't get to visit very long because one of the daughters was playing in a basketball tournament in the county. Agnes also enjoyed a visit from her sister, Sara Littlefield, who was chauffeured by Sara's son, Steve Littlefield of Farmington. Val and Suzi Shakespear and family came from Cedar City to spend a few hours visiting with his mother, Marian and Malen Mecham Sunday afternoon. Sharon White and her two daughters of Santa Clara came to help Clive and Thelma Bybee spruce up their yard. It has been very lovely weather to do this type of cleaning. Berdell Barton chauffeured his wife Carma and her sisters Janet LeFevre of Vernal and Teora Willis of Henrieville on a trip to Mesa, Ariz., to visit their brother, Glade Willis. The smell of fruit blossoms was in the air and it was a beautiful time to visit in Mesa. Gloria Hayden enjoyed having a visit from friends who lived in Reno, Nev., Marva and Leon Mecham who now live in Kaysville. Gloria informed me that she was friends with the almost centenarian, Florence Canonic, a matriarch who was spotlighted in the Deseret News Church News section. |
