As a result of the proposed increase, the tax on an $86,000.00 primary residence will be $349.83, and the tax on a business, secondary residence or vacant land having the same value as the average value of a primary residence in the taxing entity will be $636.06. Without the proposed increase the tax on an $86,000.00 primary residence would be $328.88, and the tax on a business, secondary residence or vacant land having the same value as the average value of a residence in the taxing entity would be $597.96. The 2001 proposed tax rate is .007396. Without the proposed increase the rate would be .006953. This would be an increase of 6.4, which is $20.95 per year ($1 .75 per month) on an $86,000.00 primary residence or $38.10 per year on a business, secondary residence, or vacant land having the same value as the average value of a primary residence in the taxing entity. With NEW GROWTH, this property tax increase and other factors, the Garfield County School District will increase its property tax revenue from $1 ,945,1 90.00 collected last year to $2,034,105.00 COLLECTED THIS YEAR WHICH IS A REVENUE INCREASE OF 4.6.
