Show llcnricvillg Hews By Wynona Henderson 679-8560 Summer is here and so are those pesky little critters - the gnats! Ray and Paula Smith of Lass Vegas are here permanently and we welcome them. Paula noticed some elderly folks out mowing their lawns and says if they will give her a call, she will come and mow for them. LaRona and Delano Callahan are. celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary anni-versary with a family dinner at the LDS ward. Edith and Ammon Barker had a call from their grandson Jesse in Cedar City that he had received a call to serve an LDS mission in the Philippines. He is a son of Wayne Barker. Also visiting them were Eric and Dusty Barker, Cindy and their two children of Douglas, Wyo. Max and Logann Eagar took Cal Chynoweth to Cedar City for a day of shopping. Colby Guy Wiseman was blessed and given his name by grandfather Guy Thompson. He is the son of Brooke and Phoebe Wiseman. Speakers in LDS sacrament meeting on Fathers Day were Bishop Ernie Henderson, Gail Miles, and Brit Twitchell. There was a special number by the choir. Ernie and Wynona Henderson and Logann Eagar visited Elsie Goulding and Joanne Goulding at the care center in Panguitch on Thursday and also gathered a load of firewood. Lynne Granger has moved from Tustin, Calif, and has spent time with her sister and brother-in-law Wendy and Dan Davis in Mesa, Ariz., then on to Magna to visit Trish and Brian Dixon and Mitch Henderson. Then she will be going to Tennessee to spend a few days with Buster and Stephanie Paget . Foskey and their two children Savannah and Colby. Stephanie is the daughter of the late Orlean Johnson. She also spent a few days with Ernie and Wynona Henderson and they toured Bryce and other local areas. Klay and Flint Chynoweth were in Heber City to participate in team roping at the state rodeo finals. They earned the right to attend the International Finals in Fallon, Nev., on the July 4 weekend. They are the sons of Klin and Nancy Chynoweth and Link and Donna Chynoweth of Escalante. We congratulate them. Ted and Elizabeth Piatt are especially proud of their granddaughter grand-daughter Leah Mow, daughter of the Ivan Mows of Washington state. Leah graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in art history from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Wash., on June 16. She was also honored at a champagne brunch held in her honor where she was named "The Dean's Honor Student of the Year." |
