Paunsagaunt Museum In Panguitch Features New Butterfly Exhibit play is one of the most comprehensive comprehen-sive in the Western United States. Robert Driedonks, owner and museum curator, and John Beurie, a well-known anthropologist, worked more than four years to compile the specimens for the display. Because of the ban on the import and export of butterflies, another display of this magnitude would be impossible impossi-ble to assemble. Some of the specimens date back to 1910. The museum exhibits more than 400 animals from North America in their natural habitat. Along with western wildlife, the museum also features an exotic animal exhibit, a display of rare birds of prey, and a unique collection of Indian artifacts, pottery, tools and weapons. There is also a gift shop featuring museum mu-seum collectables. |
