The Boy Scouts have helped them move the big items and now the Cantus are ready to settle in and enjoy all their new spacev Debbie purchased the home of Ella Adair and we are very happy for her. Ben, you will love cutting that lawn. Congratulations Debbie, Christina, and Ben on your new home. The LDS Relief Society Sisters have been busy putting together 72-hour kits. They will be nice to have on hand, but let's hope we never have need of them. There were many who participated and even some of the women put kits together to give to their family members as a Christmas gift. Great idea. The LDS Primary children put on the program at Sunday's LDS Sacrament meeting and it was delightful. It is so much fun to watch all the little children chil-dren do their parts and the older kids help them out and then do their own parts. It was great. What beautiful weather we are having. It is nice and we even get moisture once in awhile. Hope this continues and Ave have a big winter to fill our reservoirs. Readers....I really need your help to do this column. If you don" give me your news I can't write about it. Thanks for those who do call once in awhile. Arthur and I traveled to Nauvoo, 111., with the Brigham Young University Cougar Club for three days and then- we went on to Stone Mountain and Atlanta, Ga., to watch the BYU-Georgia BYU-Georgia Tech football game. Sadly, BYU lost but they started out good. We got caught in a downpour and I was leading the way back to the bus and took us . on a wrong turn. The bus left us to go see if we were back at our hotel. We weren't - we were too busy wading through a foot of water. A man came up to us and gave us an umbrella he had found on the street. He said we looked like we needed it worse than him. We finally found some familiar faces and they took us back to our hotel where (See TROPIC on page 5A) Tropic From Page 3A we were reunited with our group. Next time Arthur gets to be the leader. I have no sense of direction in a strange town. Jim and Neucille Yardley of Panguitch were also on this same tour and said they were glad to see we made it back safely. safe-ly. Our clothes took three days to dry out. We had a wonderful time however and were amused to find out our little 737 was the biggest plane that had ever landed land-ed in Burlington, Iowa. Next time Arthur gets to lead the way, he never gets lost. |
