Show By Betty Wiley 624-3215 What beautiful fall weather we are having! The full moon and such fluffy white clouds in the sky ... enjoy because winter is not far behind. People here are getting ready for winter. The Michael Greys are having rain gutters and window win-dow repair done now and the Warner Stewarts have had insulation insu-lation :put in their attic. The Jerry Savages have gone for a load of coal. Our people here know when it is time to haul wood, etc. Hopefully this year we will have a lot of snow to help replace the long dry summer sum-mer with no moisture. Scott Gleave is home but he still doesn't feel like he used to at 21 years old. Hope he continues contin-ues to improve. Carol Blood is still not home but she is able to be brought to Richfield to her son Brian's home where his wife Kathy can help monitor her breathing and oxygen so she can soon come home. Her heart surgery was a success but it is just getting off the oxygen and breathing on her own she needs help on. On Monday, Jerry and Janene Savage attended the graveside services at the Junction Cemetery for Eugene Sudweek's wife Dortha LeFevre Sudweeks. Ned and Coy Burr have just had the carpet replaced in their home and it looks lovely. On Saturday several of Van and Betty Wiley's grandsons, Ladd, Chace and Chantry Brindley and Charley Brindley, and their dad, all came from Cedar City to ride on the mountain moun-tain and Daroll Taylor, Kim Brindley 's brother, came from Cleveland which is over by Price. It has been some time since all of them had been on a (See ANTIMONY on page 4A) Antimony From Page 2A horse for that many hours. Garth Roberts has been keeping keep-ing busy for some time getting gifts made for his family for Christmas. He does this every year. Garth is now over 86 years old and most men that old wouldn't even try. The cattle have to be off the east mountain now so the men will be pushing them down in the valley, so watch for cattle. Gus and Nancy Prather are in Arizona with his mother who is very ill. Wade Wiley came back from his elk hunt up on the Wasatch Unit by Strawberry with a large elk trophy with 6 horns on one side and seven on the other. The antlers are very large around. Wade had walked so much that he had blisters on his feet and legs. He says he will rest today and get back to school at the Trade Tech tomorrow. Marion Cox is helping out at the Post Office and it seems good to visit with her as we miss her since she no longer runs Antimony Merc. Speakers at William Porter's LDS missionary farewell besides each of the immediate family were Uncle Torfirio Romero, Aunt Dana Crosby and Hal Jensen. William has worked for Hal and Athalia Jensen for a long time. |
