J ' ; f - Hilma Excell Hilma Excell To Celebrate 90th Birthday PANGUITCH Hilma Excell of Panguitch will celebrate cele-brate her 90th birthday on Saturday, Oct. 6 with an open house in her honor for family and friends from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Panguitch LDS 2nd Ward Cultural Hall. Hilma was bom, Oct. 4, 1911 to John T. and Celeste Talbot of Panguitch. She married James H. Excell on Oct. 16, 1931 in the St. George LDS Temple. She has been an active member mem-ber of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in numerous church callings throughout her life. She and her late husband served an LDS mission in Spokane, Wash., from 1980-81. After her hus-bandpassed hus-bandpassed away, she served an additional mission in Los Angeles in 1990-91, working in the Family History Center. Hilma was always a great helpmate to her husband in their lives on the farm. She also cooked in several restaurants in Panguitch over the years and has worked at Garfield Memorial Hospital in Panguitch as an LPN for 30 years. She has always been very active, energetic and happy with a great attitude setting set-ting a fine example for her fam-ily. fam-ily. She is the mother of six children: chil-dren: Richard J. (Jan) Excell, Panguitch; Barbara (Don) Marshall, Panguitch Lake; Max (Glenda) Excell, Shoshone, Ida.; Evan (Nicki) Excell, South Jordan; Dorothy Sue (Bruce) Douglas, Richfield and Gregory Don (Jane) Excell, Panguitch. Hilma is proud of her 29 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren and 13 great-greatgrandchildren. |
