Show mopic nous By Vicki Syrett 679-8687 vickidiane36hotmail.com Jean and Spring Seiler had a very scary phone call the other night from their son's mission president. Jon Seiler who is on an LDS Mission in Paraguay and his companion were out when they were accosted by some men and Jon was stabbed in the back. He has been in the hospital and is now recovering at the Mission Home for a few weeks until he is able to return to full time work. Spring, his mother, said that it missed his heart by inches and that he was lucky in that respect. There is nothing scarier than a call like that and you are so many miles away from your child who is hurt. They all have great faith that it is going well and Jon is now on the mend. On a happier note, the Seilers had daughter Amy and her husband hus-band Ben home over the Easter weekend for a visit. They brought their three children with them, Emmy, Brennon and Taylor to visit with Grandma and Grandpa. The baby is such a smiler. The Seilers also have a son on a mission in the Maryland Baltimore LDS Mission. Betty Wintch is in the Garfield Memorial Hospital in Panguitch with pneumonia and complications from a fall she took a couple of weeks ago. She is getting better slowly and we wish her a speedy recovery. She is excited that her children have said they will all tome and take turns staying with her and husband hus-band Kent for a few weeks until Betty is better. Betty here's hoping that you are soon well and we miss you. Mary Ott had surgery in Valley View Medical Center and is now in St. George" staying with her daughter Marilyn while she recovers. Wallace Ott, her husband, has been to visit with her but has stayed mostly at home taking care of things here. Mary hopes to come home today and we will be glad to see her as she is missed when she is gone. In church on Easter Sunday I saw a great number of people who were visiting. (See TROPIC on page 4A) Tropic From Page 2A Michon Ott was down from Salt Lake City visiting with her parents Sherrel and Karen Ott. She looked great. She had a friend, Matt Stahle of Salt Lake City, visiting with her and her family. Wayne and Melinda, brother and sister, from Cedar City were also, home for the Easter weekend. |
