Show By Wynona Henderson 679-8560 We've had more rain this week, now trying to mow grass in between rains. We'll take the rain! Jeff and Kim Johnson went to Provo to see Jeff's mother Carolyn Johnson. They then took an unplanned drive to Afton, Wyo., where they visited an uncle, George Bushnell. They had a great trip. David and Candace Shakespear were visitors at Berthene Griffin's home. They live in Ogden. Visiting with Iris Bushnell were Keela Mangum and her friend, Marie Richardson of Texas. They met through the Bryce Trail rides. Doyle and Joan Jackson, Ernie and Wynona Henderson went to Escalante for a barbecue with Cal and Martha Schow. It turned out to be an indoor one because of rain. They still had a good time. Gary and Sandy Johnson had their two girls, Esther of Cedar City and Rachael of Provo, and Rachael's friend Olivia Smith of Chicago home for a visit. They all toured' Bryce Canyon and the local scenic spots. Jared Allen Chynoweth, son of Shawn and Lisa Chynoweth, was blessed and given his name by his father in the Henrieville LDS Ward. Link and Donna Chynoweth of Escalante and Brett and Tracy Chynoweth of Tropic were there for the occasion, occa-sion, along with Ralph and Lael Chynoweth, Klin and Nancy Chynoweth and Cal Chynoweth. A family dinner was held at Shawn and Lisa's home. Also attending were Wade and Shelly Barney and David and Candace Shakespear of Ogden. Speakers in the Henrieville LDS Sacrament meeting were Gary and Sandy Johnson and girls Esther and Rachael. They talked about visiting the World Trade Center and Ellis Island where Sandy's ancestors came to America. The local water board men have been repairing flood damage dam-age done to the irrigation system. sys-tem. Thelma Smith had her daugh- ter Leah Smith of Provo home for a Labor Day visit. She and Boyd Smith spent three days in California attending the Model Horse Show and seeing the sights. Sea World was crowded but they still had fun. On Saturday, Ben and Kim Smith and girls of Santa Clara visited. They camped at Tropic Reservoir over the weekend and said they even enjoyed getting rained on. Roger Stahl tells the following follow-ing story about himself. He arose early in the morning to let one of his dogs out. The other dog hit the door locking it behind him. It was raining, and, in his underwear he had to climb through the window. His wife Jan is in San Diego, Calif., attending her son Paul Fox's wedding. Several people attended the LDS Ward Temple Day on Saturday at St. George. Mitch Henderson is working in St. George so he met his folks for lunch. Ernie and Wynona were in Panguitch for the dermatologist. |
