Show Gnnnouviuu HGVJS By Marva Fletcher 679-8521 Larry and Glenna Fletcher took their granddaughter Pamela Rose Gajardo to Sandy to live with her parents, Hernan and Carla Gajardo, her brother Robbie and sister Lindra Workman. They also visited another grandmother, Maria Orisky and uncles Jay and Mark Orisky. The Fletchers visited daughters Diane and Gail Fletcher in Provo and their son Leon Fletcher who lives in Idaho, and Glenna's brother Lavon Broderick at Mt. Pleasant. On Sunday, former LDS Stake President Robert Munson and his wife Mavis visited Henrieville's LDS Sacrament meeting where they related some of their missionary experi ences while serving in Hong Kong. Bonnie Nelson was called to fill the new position as "Grandma Friendly" in Primary. Bob and Mira Loy Ott spent the weekend visiting their daughter, Tammy Aposhian and family in West Valley City. They attended the wedding of a grandson, Dan Aposhian, and his bride in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. On Sunday, Bob had the honor of ordaining another grandson, Chris Allen, to the office of an elder in the Melchezidek Priesthood. They returned home Sunday. Labor Day weekend was wonderful and rewarding for AC and Rita Hammer. They attended the graduation of son Jacob from the United States Border Patrol Academy in Charleston, S.C. Jacob was ranked highest in academic standing in his graduating class and commended for his exceptional excep-tional ability in all phases aptitude, apti-tude, initiative and work ethic in all phases in one of the most difficult dif-ficult and strenuous programs in law enforcement. The special citation was signed by Gustavo de la Vina, Chief of U.S. Border Patrol. The Hammers were able to enjoy a tour of historic Charleston, a walk on the River Walk, a tour of the Boone Hall Plantation, one of the oldest working plantations in the South, having been established in 1681. The plantation was the site of the TV mini series "North and South" and the world famous Avenue of the Oaks', leading to the house. They also went by boat to Fort Sumter, at which site the opening shots of the Civil War were fired. To ice the trip, Rita's sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Jim Leigh, met them in the Kansas City Airport for lunch on the return trip. Joe Hughes, along with many other cattlemen, made several trips to the auction. Joe and Rae Hughes went to St. George Thursday to keep eye appointments. Could it be just coincidence that the . appointments were scheduled during the Dixie Roundup? They have been faithful Roundup fans for years. Kolter Ott, son of Kowan and Melanie Ott, received his LDS mission call to serve in the Little Rock, Ark., Mission. Dallas and Emilee Clark and baby Westyn are spending a few days in St. Johns, Ariz., visiting Emilee's parents, Gary and Sandy Liston. Larry Heaton and his wife, Bonnie came from Orderville to visit his mother, Evelyn Heaton. Sheena Clark came from college col-lege to work the weekend at Ruby's Inn. |
