Show i . . 1 Barton Chosen As New SCC Director ESCALANTE - South Central Utah Telephone Association with corporate offices in Escalante, announced this week that Brant Barton of Tropic will succeed Daniel Spencer as General Manager and Corporate Treasurer of the communications company serving serv-ing all or parts of 10 counties in Utah and Arizona. Spencer has been the manager manag-er of the company for the past 18 years. Barton has served in the capacity of assistant manager manag-er for six years before taking over the helm. Spencer will continue as a consultant to the company for the remainder of his contracted services. The ( ! i. ' J I Brant Barton Board of Directors of this cooperative, coop-erative, which is owned by the members, expressed appreciation apprecia-tion to Spencer for his many years of outstanding service. He has overseen the company in a very dynamic, ever changing industry. South Central has grown from a small-market telephone company to a multi-area communications com-munications business. Spencer has been the key figure in the development of the cooperative, from acquiring new areas of service to building a company-owned company-owned wireless telephone business. busi-ness.
