GARFIELD COUNTY ORDINANCE 1997-1 BE IT ORDAINED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County, State of Utah, that the annual Final Tax Sale in Garfield County will be held in May or June of the current year in accordance with Section 59-2-1351, Utah Code Annotated, in the Garfield County Courthouse, 55 South Main, Panguitch, Utah, in accordance with the following procedures: (a) Redemption of the taxes, penalties, ana interest on all properties will be accepted by the Garfield County Treasurer up to the time of theTinal Tax Sale. (b) First preference shall be given to all recorded property owners prior to the time of the sale to redeem the parcel. (c) If the property owner does not redeem the property on the first preference, second preference prefer-ence shall be given to an lien holders of record, in the order of their recorded lien on file at the office of the Garfield County Recorder, to redeem the parcels). par-cels). (a) If no redemption is made by the recorded property owner or the recorded lien holder, the Garfield County Auditor shall offer the property to any member of the public present at the sale for the highest bid for the entire parcel. No bid shall be less than the amount of taxes, penalties, interest and advertising Tees. All prospective bidders must register prior to the beginning of the sale. (e) If the public bids in accordance with the requirements set forth in Paragraph (d). and is awarded the property, the new owner has until 5:tX) p.m. the day of the sale, to pay the bid price to the Garfield County Treasurer.
