Show Tropic lavs By Louise Ott 679-8776 Dixie Shakespeare reports a wonderful trip with son Danny and Vicki Shakespeare to Thailand to meet and get grandson Scott from his LDS mission. The mission president was impressed that Scott had two grandmothers come for the occasion. Vicki's mother went with them also. Dixie was home for several days and then went to New Harmony with Ed Littlefield and family from Escalante to hear Scott's report. Dhe said she had a wonderful time, but it is great to be home. Dixie took Shirley Haycock to Panguitch to visit Shirley's brother Jack Pollock. Shirley fell at home and broke her ankle and had to have a pin put in. She will be released to the care center in Panguitch. Lucky Cox said that he and Sandra helped Garna Kay Deuel move to St. George recently. Ethel LeFevre took Lynn Mun-son Mun-son to Cedar City to see a dentist. She received good news about her teeth. Visiting with Ira and Agnes Littlefield Lit-tlefield over Easter were her daughter daugh-ter Linda Gates, and granddaughter Monique and her family. Linda was able to stay longer to help her parents. par-ents. Carla Ramsay brought her parents par-ents Bob and Helen Willis, Henrieville, Hen-rieville, home from Salt Lake City. Marie Niemann had a niece and her friend from Idaho visit recently. Mary Ott was in Cedar City for a doctor Appointment. Adrian and Glenna Pollock were in Cedar City where Adrian had a doctor's appointment. He is feeling pretty good but was told to stay out of the cold, and it has really been cold. Did we have our spring in December and January? Marie Barton and Louise Ott were in Cedar City to attend an Avon meeting. They enjoyed the time together. Lonnie and Cheryl Pollock and daughters, and Vance and Jeanenne Pollock and children took advantage of spring break and went to Florida to visit with Aaron and Cherrie Stewart and daughter JayDee. DelRae and Afton Pollock went to Kanab to a funeral for DelRae's aunt. Gaya Greenhalgh and Ora Brinkerhoff Brink-erhoff went to Monroe and stayed one night with their brother Weldon LeFevre. Gaya had meetings in Richfield so Ora enjoyed the day with Weldon. Ora Brinkerhoff, Glenna Pollock and Wendy Brinkerhoff Brink-erhoff took dinner over to Donna Chynoweth in Escalante. She cut her right arm at work and had stitches in Cedar City. Visiting with DeRell and Sarah Lou Sudweeks were Mike and Miriam Brady and daughter from (See TROPIC on page 4-A) Tropic News From page 2-A California. Mike was in the wedding wed-ding line with Rocky when he and Anita Sudweeks Melton were married. mar-ried. Sarah said Mike is a convert to the LDS Church and served a Spanish speaking mission. They had a wonderful visit with them. Susan and Neal Foster have been busy traveling. Neal had eye surgery in Salt Lake City and then, after coming home, went to St. George. Leda Mae Foster has been down with this flu that has hit a lot of people in the area. Sara Litflefield saw her eye doctor doc-tor in Richfield. Janet Pollock and Louise Ott went with her and had an enjoyable day together. Ella Adair spent some time in St. George with the Larry Adairs. Sister Gail met Larry in Cedar City to bring Ella home. Gerald and Carol Pollock have a new grandson, Michael Larvin Nez. Great-grandparents are Larvin and Eva Pollock. |
