Show Panfluitch Htnvs By Mamie TalboF 676-8084 A large flock of robins appeared in the valley last week and many smallar birds are keeping the sky, bushes and trees busy. We are happy to have several snow storms to wet the greening grasses and perennial flowers that are pushing through the soil. The moisture will help break up the newly ploughed fields. Maloy Dodds and Jim Henrie are plowing their fields next to Cemetery Lane that haven't been broken up for some years. The schools had Spring Break from Apr. 9 through 12. Shirley Bulkley had back surgery sur-gery in Cedar City on Mar. 29. She is doing well. Larry and Linda Mrvicka attended at-tended the blessing of their seventh grandchild, John Scott Gardner. They have been away for a two-week two-week vacation. Pam and John Yardley went to Delta to the blessing of Pam's sister sis-ter Martha Riggs and Blaine Ipsons grandchild. Jay Riggs is a great grandfather in town. Kern Owens has been in a hospital hos-pital in Phoenix, Ariz., and was very ill. He is doing better now. Stacy Sherwood, daughter of Kim and Allene Miller Sherwood, married Jared Cox on Mar. 6. Grandparents here are Allen and Joanne Miller. Sustained to callings in 1st LDS Ward were; KayLynn Partridge, Par-tridge, Kim Brinkerhoff, Shana LeFevre and Cindy Clinton, who were called to the Relief Society. Deann Price, Coleen Miller and Jolene Pollock were called to work in the Primary. Ordinations in that ward were Alex Nay, Teacher, Ryan Dastrup, Priest. Danny Yardley received his Duty to God award. High Schoolers receiving state academic awards were Pepper Hatch, basketball; Paul Hulet and Josh Pollock, wrestling; and Heidi Woolsey, Nicole Reynolds, Teresa Clark and Cynthia Prince, drill team. Panguitch native McHenrie "Mack" Miller died in Washington last week. His funeral was here Apr. 2. Our love goes to his wife, ORene, and their children. His parents were the late Horace and Bergetta Miller. Elder Chad Brinkerhoff, son of Kendell and Malrilyn Brinkerhoff, gave his LDS mission report on Mar. 14 in 1st. Ward. Jerrica Owens, daughter of David and Loraine Owens, graduated from Primary. |
