Show Roma Evelyn Francisco Evans Our precious mother, grandmother, grand-mother, great-grandmother and friend, Roma Evelyn Francisco Evans, 70, left us today, Oct. 27, 1998, after fighting a 20 year battle with leukemia. She was bom June 21, 1928 in Henrieville, to Charles Edward and Elizabeth Viola Smith Francisco. She married Clark L. "Buster" Evans, Jan. 2, 1946 in Las Vegas, Nev. The marriage was solemnized May 19, 1983 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death Aug. 18, 1987. She touched the hearts of all who knew her, we will all miss her. She is survived by her children: Vance Edward (Carol Sue) Evans, Mark Jeffrey (Amber Christine) Evans, William Clayton Evans, Duke Charles (Meline) Evans, Dixie Lee Hardy, Faye Evans, Penny Rae Evans, all Salt Lake City; three foster sons: Boyd Clark (Tammy Lynn) Evans, Mark Anthony An-thony Evans, both of Salt Lake; Pete (Debbie) Alvey, St. George; 13 grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Varis Simpkins, Circleville; Ber-thene Ber-thene Griffin, Henrieville; Lola (Marv) Tippits, Hurricane; Charles (Eva Dean) Francisco, Tropic; Bill (Sharon) Francisco, Enoch; sister-in-law, Lilis Francisco, Tropic. She is preceded in death by husband; hus-band; parents; brother, Dexter Francisco Fran-cisco Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998 with Bishop Leland S. Riggs presiding. The family prayer was offered by Vance Evans and prelude and postlude music was played by Gai Wilcock. The invocation was offered by 5; Roma Evans Bill Francisco. Ken Goulding sang "You Are My Special Angel," and tributes were given by Boyd Evans and Brad Griffin. Than and Jimmy Cooper sang "Just A Little Street Where Old Friends Meet," and "Just Beyond The Moon." Evan Wilcock was a speaker and remarks were made by Bishop Leland S. Riggs. Janice Bracken sang "The Wind Beneath My Wings," and Sandra Evans offered the benediction. Pallbearers were Vance Evans, Jeff Evans, Bill Evans, Boyd Evans, John Hardy, Bill Francisco, and Charles Francisco. Honorary pallbearers were Mark Evans, Duke Evans, and Pete Alvey.
