Show fifitimony ilz-:i By Betty Wiley 624-3215 The Primary children sang several sev-eral songs for their dads in LDS Church on Father's Day Sunday. Our two speakers at LDS Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting were Stan Dalton and Afton Blood. Darlene R. Evans of Panguitch and Elaine R. Tebbs of Richfield came to Antimony and took their dad, Garth Roberts to church with them on Father's Day. In our little town, it would be great if several would get together and build floats to pull in the July 4th parade here in Antimony. Several are taking pride in our community and are fixing up their yards, cleaning up the highway in their area, planting a lot of flowers, etc. It really makes our community look good. Coming home with Michelle Blood for the weekend was "Gak", Phaengsab, from Bangkok, Thailand. Thai-land. She will be receiving a Masters Mas-ters Degree in International Relations Rela-tions from Brigham Young University Univer-sity when they go back up north. Kenneth and Kathy Riddle and boys were here for the weekend at their summer trailer. Darlene and Jack Durbin of Lake Havasu, Ariz., are here for the rest of the summer at their house. They brought their grandchildren with them for a visit. Michelle Black has been in Salt Lake City visiting with her parents for a few days. The Ned Burrs are up north visiting vis-iting and keeping doctor appointments. appoint-ments. Our sympathy goes out to the Randy and Phyllis Dalton family and the Clark Dalton family in the loss of two members of their family fam-ily by drowning in Bear Lake. Phyllis is a daughter of former Sherry Nay who was born and raised here in Antimony. Sherry's mom was Phyllis Young Nay, wife of Arden Nay. I did not get a column in the paper last week as Van and yours truly ran away and spent some time (See ANTIMONY on page 7-A) ANTIMONY From page 6-A in Arizona visiting with our son, Jeremy and his wife. It had been a few years since we had been down there. The temperature was 95 degrees de-grees when we got to Phoenix and it got worse. So much building is going on here this summer that it seems the cement truck is up here nearly every day . Stewart Archibald had cement poured recently for his horse barn. There will be an LDS Youth . Conference held at BYU July 27 and 28 and our youth met after church to see who was planning to attend. This will be for all youth ages 14-18. Tim Westwood's sister Jerry Sylvester of Marysvale was up here to see the dentist and her children were here to play with Tim and Holly's children. Chelsey Sylvester stayed here overnight. Hal and Athalia went up to Nephi and picked up the four children chil-dren of Eva Jane Green and will have them for a few days. Eugene and Valeria King's daughter, Heidi and her husband and family arrived from Arkansas. Kena Sue Roberts, daughter of Ken and Valeene Roberts, and Ryan Williams, were married in the LDS Logan Temple on June 25. A reception re-ception for the newlyweds will be held at the Antimony Town Park on July 10. |
