Show Cannonvillc News By Marva Fletcher . 679-8521 The Roy and Leslie Willis fam-i fam-i ily reunion was held June 15-17 at ; the family home in Cannonville. : Cornell, Katheryn, Bonnie, Anna ' and Keven Willis came from Orem; I Quinn, Georgia and Christine Wil-; Wil-; lis came from Capitol Reef; and ; TCay Mar, Kent, Kyle, Kwin and ; Koye Willis came from Antimony. : Mary Jean Willis was at LDS Girls Camp. Richard and Andrea Willis and girls, Brittany, Madisen and Shianne came from Monroe; David, : Lyn, Korbin, Keshia, Kathy and ; Kirsten Willis came from Aurora; ; Alisha came from Cedar City; Ste-: Ste-: ven, Trista and Rachell Blackburn ; came from Loa. They all enjoyed the time together, Kent and Koye ;, spent the rest of the week with their grandma Willis. Kent is working at Ruby's Inn. Cassie Willis, granddaughter of Bonnie Willis has been released from the hospital but has to stay in Salt Lake City for kidney dialysis for another week or two then she can take them in St. George. Ben and Diane Mathews and family spent a week at Philmont Scout Camp in New Mexico. Ben had a week of Scout master classes while the rest of the family played and enjoyed their vacation. Raphael Morreale, son of John and Ramona Morreale had his grand-parents from Maine visiting . him this past week. Visiting at the Stephen Clark home were son Cary, wife Cynthia and children, Cheslyn and Kadyn. Many relatives and friends attended at-tended the blessing of the tiny daughter of Robert and Barbie Lutes Larson of Lehi, on Sunday. Among them were Rick and Shelly Lutes and four sons of Washington; Georgia Asay Nielson and a granddaughter, grand-daughter, Jenny Nielson; Bryce and Lawanna Taukinaukifili and children, chil-dren, Joey, Vaughn and Sierra; Patty Jo Lutes, Bud and Linda Mecham and family; Margaret and Marjorie Mecham; Gloria Heyden, all of Tropic, Vera Larson and a neighbor of Richfield; Garnet Barton Bar-ton and daughters, Cedar City. Little Jocelyn Rae Larson was blessed by her great-grandfather, George Thompson. Speakers in LDS Sacrament Meeting were missionaries, Elder Searle and Elder Swenson. Five Young Women and six Young Men from our ward, along with Bishop Larry Fletcher, Counselor Coun-selor Mel Beard, Young Women leaders, Sabrina Hughes and Ethel . Rich attended Youth Conference last week at Lake Powell. Firesides were held both nights and there were many activities to entertain and to give them a spiritual lift. They report that they had a great time, Marty Rich had extensive surgery sur-gery on his shoulder in St. George. Wife Ethel reports that he is in a lot of pain which we hope will be eased soon and that the recovery process will be complete and soon. Ethel also said that son Rusty did very well at the High School Rodeo finals. Elder Daniel Thompson flew out on Tuesday for his LDS mission mis-sion in Brazil. His mother Trish said that he is doing very well with the Portugese language. Elder Britten Twitchell is laboring labor-ing in a small town of Oakdale, Calif. His companion is from Alberta, Al-berta, Canada. He loves the work and got to help his companion with a baptism the first week of his mission. mis-sion. His letter started with the words "This mission is cool!" and said to tell everyone "Hello". |
