Show Man Dies After Burr Trail Car Accident Sunday BOULDER An automobile accident 20 miles down the Burr Trail from Boulder claimed the life of 28-year-old Nektarios Haaeufler of Zurich, Switzerland last Sunday afternoon. He and his passenger, Sonja Stocker, 27, of Zurich, were traveling travel-ing towards Boulder when the right rear tire on their 1999 Mitzubishi Montaro blew, causing them to loose control of the vehicle and roll several times. The passenger, who was wearing a seat belt, was Life Flighted to Richfield with minor injuries. The driver was not wearing wear-ing a seat belt. Garfield County Sheriffs Deputy Dep-uty Ray Gardner was the first to respond, along with Boulder Volunteer Volun-teer Firefighters Kevin Eastman and Brad Timothy. Boulder EMT's who responded were Donna Owen and First Responder Janeen Wolfe. EMT's from Escalante also responded re-sponded with their ambulance. They were Verna Goetzinger, Cindi Steed, Tom Mansell, Nancy Porter, Kathy MacFarlane, and Donnie Randall. Sherriff s Deputy Monte Luker and Escalante City Policeman Police-man Dennis Isheim also responded. |
