Show One More Piles In Comity Filing for public office in Garfield County concluded Friday, with Mike Tebbs of Panguitch filing fil-ing for a seat on the Garfield County school board. Tebbs threw his hat in the ring for Precinct No. 1 for the September's primary election. elec-tion. Filing previously in the same precinct was Wayne Ross. Ray Englestead, whose term is up this year, did not file for re-election. Filing for another school board vacancy was Barry Barnson in the Escalante precinct. Incumbent Quay Simons filed earlier to regain his seat In Panguitch, both Earl Roe and E. Terry Henrie have filed for the Precinct No. 2 opening. Incumbent Sam Allen has chosen not to run again. Two have filed for the cemetery board in Tropic, Janet Pollock and Reed LeFevre. Both incumbent county commissioners com-missioners have filed for office. Commission Chairman Tom Hatch has filed for the two-year seat and Louise Liston has filed for the four-year four-year position. All cemetery boards in the county must hold elections for board members this year, with potential po-tential candidates to file with the county clerk. Potential candidates have until Friday, April 15 to file for one of the offices to be vacated. Candidates should file with the county clerk at the courthouse in Panguitch. |
