Show - Tropic Topics - Ella Adair Lela Gates, Wisconsin, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hansen visited with the Arnold Adairs and with Violet Littlefield. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Wintch attended at-tended the golden wedding open house for Mr. and Mrs. Mayo Zabriskie in Richfield. Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Littlefield, Cedar City, are the parents of a baby girl born July 2. Dixie Shakespear, Clella Littlefield Little-field and LaNore LeFevre visited with a niece in Wayne County. Fourteen girls and their leaders Shaunna Anderson, Phyllis Stewart, Stew-art, Cheri Feltner and Gloria Chynoweth enjoyed the Escalante Stake girls' camp at Kings Creek for three days. Margaret Mccham had three of her grandchildren visit with her this past week. Marian Shakespear, June Shakespear Shake-spear and Carl Shakespear spent the weekend in Wyoming visiting with friends and relatives. Marian attended at-tended her 50th high school class reunion while there. The Obie Shakespears had daughter Joann visit with them this past weekend. Ron McGee was in Tropic working on his house for a few days this week. The Price Allreds have son Jeff from South America visiting with them. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Allen visited with the Mateland Baughs. Kelly Moore is also at the Baughs. It is nice to see a new business starting in Tropic. Jeri Moon has opened her Creative Cottage. She will have gifts, crafts, art supplies, toys, quilts, etc. She will also have a little theatre, for children, specializing in puppets, story telling and plays. The E.R. Shakespears attended the wedding and reception for Mr. and Mrs. Danny Reid in Escalante. Danny is the son of Mrs. Chad Shakespear of Tropic. The Arnold Adairs made a trip to Midvale to visit daughter Bonnie Miles and on to Logan to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Adair. Eva Dean Francisco made a trip to Cedar City to have her car repaired re-paired and to get new glasses. Also visited daughter Helena Mortcnson in Parowan. Laurie Eddy is the new Sunbeam teacher and JoNeal Alvey the chorister cho-rister in Primary. Alan Wyatt Shakespear, son of the Kelly Shakespears, was given his name and blessing by his father. Nathan Trace Allen, son of the Blake Allcns.also received his name and a blessing by his father in sacrament meeting Sunday. The Eldon Brinkerhoff family had their reunion Saturday in Tropic. Lanny Littlefield, Charlotte Littlefield, Lit-tlefield, Trinctte Littlefield, and Janeal Carter, of Henderson, Nev., visited with the Norm Littlcficlds. Mr. and Mrs. Gail Miles visited with the Arnold Adairs. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Mecham and daughters Shcrrie Mccham and Shaunna Mecham were in Salt Lake City to attend a family reunion this past weekend. Mary Ott is home from the hospital. Her daughter Marilyn Murdock of Washington, D.C., is staying with her until she is well. The Larvin Pollocks have their children home for the weekend visiting vis-iting with them and daughter Juanita. Also home were Mr. and Mrs. Blake Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Brent Allen and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pollock. Dorma Barton visited with the Berdell Bartons. Lucy Shakespear and Mr. and Mrs. Dcloy Shakesperar were in Tropic for the July 4th weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Winzenreid are in Tropic for a visit and to clean their lot. Mr. and Mrs. Teri Gleave, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Bybee, Mr. and Mrs. Clive Bybee and Shawn Bybee were in Ogden for the naming of the new Bybee grandchildren, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Keven Bybee, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Craig Bybee. All of the Bybee family was present for the occasion. July 5-9 will be the Tropic LDS Ward week at the temple. Ella Adair was happy to see her former teaching friend Phyllis Woodbury Sunday in church. |
