Show By Marta Peterson 834-5306 The busy season is in full swing at Bryce Canyon National Park. All the seasonals are trained and enthusiastically en-thusiastically contributing to help make 1995 a successful summer season. The campground hosts are in place and the other volunteers are busy providing a variety of necessary neces-sary services. Jacki Kincaid and Marta Peterson traveled to Las Vegas to attend a business writing course. It proved to be very informative and helpful seminar. Benjamin Cantu recently became a kindergarten graduate. He is now ready for the rigors of the first grade. School is out this week. It is important to drive the speed limit in the park housing area because the new found freedom and good weather is allowing the children to spend a great deal of time outdoors on their bikes and in-line skates. They are having a good time playing play-ing and are not always aware of ' things going on around them. Be sure and drive slowly and safely. Susan Colclazer participated in a special facilitator course in order to teach a mandatory eight hour orientation orien-tation class. Every park employee will be attending Susan's course. The staff of Bryce Canyon National Park enthusiastically celebrated cele-brated National Park Week with a park-wide clean-up program. The employees were divided into work details and canvassed their assigned areas locating every piece of trash and bagging it for pick-up. The work was hard, but the rewards were great. The visitors often stopped their sight seeing to lend a helping hand. |
