Show By Marta Peterson 834-5306 The Fourth of July was celebrated cele-brated in a traditionally patriotic manner at Bryce Canyon. The day began with a parade that wound its way from the lodge to the store and back again. The theme was Christopher Columbus and was well expressed in the numerous floats. The vehicle decorated by the TW Services maintenance staff with abundant janitorial and repair items and titled "Even Columbus Needed Maintenance" was one of the crowds favorites. The National Park Service employees entered the Nina, the Pinto (a horse) and the Santa Maria in the festive procession. proces-sion. The day continued with a cookout at the picnic area of the housing complex with delicious food prepared by the TW Services kitchen staff. The evening was highlighted by the beautiful fireworks fire-works at Ruby's Inn. Christina and Benjamin Cantu, Ananda Morlock and Kallie Parsons are attending swimming lessons in Panguitch. Charlie and Marta Peterson traveled to Santa Fe for a camping vacation. They enjoyed shopping for ideas about all one can afford to do there. Lem Pratt is off to start his permanent job at Kolob Canyon in Zion National Park. A party was held in the rangers office to say goodbye to Lem and wish him all the best in his new endeavor. Clyde Stonaker continued the farewell with a barbecue at his home in Lem's honor. |
