Show Kierstead Will Answer Questions On Pavilion Participants in next week's Panguitch Homecoming activities will be able to learn first-hand about the proposed "Panguitch Pavilion" and have some of their questions answered as they enjoy their barbecued beef dinner on July 24 at the county fair building. Promoter Ron Kierstead who has invested $60,000 of his own money in the proposed project for which the city of Panguitch is seeking seek-ing an additional $800,000 will personally field questions about all phases of the development. Kierstead, Kier-stead, who says he's "totally com mitted to Garfield County," recently raised some local eyebrows when he presented information about his project to the Richfield City Council as a favor to a longtime Bureau of Land Management friend because of interest shown in Kierstead's work at Sevier County's Fremont Indian State Park. Joining Kierstead on Friday will be Wil Nunkena, director of the Utah Division of Indian Affairs. Board members include Marjorie Davies, David Peterson, Bruce Fullmer, Wally Lee, Laurel Holman and Karen Ross. Kierstead will include items from his Rock Art Creations, and there will be a video from Animated Systems, Inc. designers of robotics proposed for use at the museum which will be created from the old Panguitch high school building. Entertainment during the noon hour will be provided by "Cactus Swing," an acoustic trio who will perform original songs as well as classic western swing dance music, fiddle tunes and cowboy songs. A group of native American dancers will perform at 1 p.m., and at 3:30, native American spiritual leader Lacee Harris will pronounce a blessing on the old Panguitch high ! school. Harris is neither a medicine man nor a Shaman, he is a member of the LDS Church, according to information provided by Merle i Prince. |
