Wild-flowers Wild-flowers continue to flourish at high elevations. ..truly a remarkable year. Clem and Donita Griffin have had five grandsons here visiting. Jess Borovatz came from Tay-lorsville Tay-lorsville and the rest from Murray. Deon and Arnold Alvey's daughter and son-in-law, Raylene and Dave Whitefield, came to visit from Las Vegas for the 4th. Daniel Meisenbach was here from Orange visiting parents Lane and Geraldine Liston. Guests at the home of Marlene and Clem Haws were daughter and son-in-law, Jolyn and John Sorensen, from Salina. Richard and Claudia Geasland, Redwood City, Calif, came to check out Phil and Harriet Priska and see how they are surviving "out here on the desert." Sons of the Utah Pioneers are planning a picnic up at Blue Spruce on Saturday, July 18. Guests are welcome and encouraged to join. Contact Clem Griffin or Bob Mun- i son for details. Genevieve Barham, Munroe, Ore. has been here visiting Glen Luellen. She is now on her way to Salt Lake City but plans to return later in the year. Earlier, Genevieve made a 3100 miles trek to visit her cousin Guernadine Mahe, Pueblo, Col. She also saw Don Luellen in Grand Junction, Col. and Sam and Emma Luellen in Cortez, Mo. Happy July birthday to a really active ac-tive gal. Hank and Naomi Bolton report that their son, Robert Bolton in Orange, is home again and recovering recover-ing nicely. They are very appreciative apprecia-tive for all the prayers of concern. John Townsend had all his grandchildren here over July 4th. Marcia and Chris Bischoff came from Bend, Ore. and John's other daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and John Oakes, came from Long Beach, Wash. John reports that the five-day reunionworkshop for parents par-ents and alumni was attended by 100 people and was very productive. produc-tive. Don Mosier, law enforcement officer for the U.S. Forest Service and Jon Bowman, law enforcement park ranger for the National Park Service, were called in on the search for an escaped convict at the south rim of the Grand Canyon, toward the end of the eight-week search. i |
