The Utah Highway Patrol said ladhusree Chandra, 42, Gretna, MHa., wife of the car's driver, was aflost seriously injured. She and her ttughter, Rakhj, 11, were taken by life Flight from Sevier Valley Hospital to Utah Valley Regional (Medical Center after initial treat-ent treat-ent in Richfield. f Driver of the car, Tapank Chan-ra, Chan-ra, 44, and the couple's 16-year-old n daughter, Joya, were only slightly Va'ijured and did not require hospitalization. The accident occurred about 3 l.m. Sunday when Mr. Chandra jKverved to miss a rock in the road I nd the northbound rented vehicle ' ent out of control, traveling some 92 feet. The car rolled end over land once and over sideways once, ' Jjoming to rest on its wheels. M Passersby, including a physician physi-cian from Finland, gave immediate id, and two ambulances from BdVayne County and one from Boul-Jer Boul-Jer were called to the scene. j One of the Wayne County '0.gjmbulances transported Mr. Chan- ira and Joya Chandra to Sevier Valley Hospital. A helicopter from Page, Ariz., was called to the scene and trans-w trans-w Ported Mrs. Chandra and Rakhj fccChandra to Sevier Valley Hospital, i.Q ICO and they were later taken by Life Flight to Provo. Mrs. Chandra suffered severe head injuries, according to a Sevier Valley Hospital spokesperson. Trooper Gaylen Moore, UHP, who investigated, estimated the Chandra's vehicle speed at between 65 and 70 mph when it went out of control. |
