Show By Betty Wiley Memorial weekend was true to its usual weather-wind every day! We had many visitors during the weekend. Visiting at the Ricketts were the Max Ricketts and the Tom Ricketts of Las Vegas, Nev.; the Ardell Ricketts of San Antonio, Tex.; Beth R. Nell of Las Vegas; and Bud Ricketts of Salt Lake City. The Gerald Rowan family of Provo was here for the weekend. Rodney and Carol Black and Bill and Jean Baker, Orem; the Camille Black Spangler; and Sanna Jane and Tom Bird, Salt Lake City; were all here visiting the Burns Blacks. Mona Rae Twitchell was called up north due to the illness of her mother, Goldie Mclnelly. Other visitors at the home of Garth Roberts were the Rick Gillespies and Cal Adamses, Panguitch; Pan-guitch; Ellen Helquist, Richfield and the Marrell Robertses of McGill, Nev. The David Sorensens also stopped by for a few minutes. David is a cousin to the Helquists. Bart and Sunni Kae King Brown were here Sunday and presented, a special musical in LDS Sacrament meeting. Dean and Florence Christensen came for Decoration Day and decided decid-ed to go to the LDS Church so they could visit with friends. Earl Roe and Lamaun Sorenson were here visiting and decorating. Lamaun had surgery but is doing better. Carol Blood is waiting for word of a new grandbaby before she goes to Cedar City to stay with Cammie B. Zingelman. Van and Betty Wiley attended the graduation exercises at the Sevier Se-vier Valley Applied Technology Center. Lavere Robert Gleave is completing com-pleting some cabins he will have for rent at the marina. Many people peo-ple are asking for rentals during the summer. Raymond and Roma Henrie were here on the weekend visiting and taking their jeeps into the hills. Bryant Riddle stopped to visit with the Van Wileys, too. Usher and Dorothy Henrie stopped by to visit the Henries and Wileys as they came from the cemetery. Val and Kathleen Snow and Winston and Dorothy Stratton were here for church Sunday and for the weekend. The Stratton's house is going up quite fast so they should soon be in it. Melvin Savage was visiting at the Van Wileys. Some others here visiting were the Randall Roberts, Las Vegas; the Richard Robertses of Hyrum, and the LaVar Robertses of Monroe. The Garth Robertses attended graduation exercises at Panguitch for their grandson, Brett Pierson, son of Darlcne Pierson Evans. Julian Fox and Gary Gericke, town board members, attended a Community Impact Board meeting in Salt Lake City to finalize funding fund-ing for the new fire house. |
