Show By Marta Peterson 834-5306 The visitation at Bryce Canyon continues to be high. The warm spring weather and the lateness of Easter have worked together to encourage en-courage park visitors to travel to the beautiful sights of Color Country. Melody Richards is now a permanent per-manent employee at Bryce Canyon National Park. Melody is the administrative ad-ministrative support clerk for the park under the direction of Roger Parsons, administrative officer. Congratulations, Melody. Ed and Peggy Uptain have recently re-cently been host to a number of far flung friends. Steve and Carmen Gastellum from Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico were the first to appear with the Neher family of northern California arriving on the very day the Gastellums departed. Debbie Cantu began her seasonal employment with the ranger division last week. Debbie, a welcome wel-come addition to the ranger staff, brings her experience as a law enforcement en-forcement ranger at the Grand Te-tons Te-tons National Park to Bryce Canyon. The Charlie Peterson family traveled to San Diego to visit with Marta's parents, Lawrence and Henrietta Denoyer and sister, Diana Denoyer. Diana accompanied the Petersons back to Bryce Canyon for a few days of visiting and sight seeing. see-ing. The Community Club sponsored spon-sored progressive dinner was an enormous success. Four families opened up their doors to accommodate accommo-date the appetizer, salad, main course and dessert portions of the dinner. It was only a short amble from house to house so no one grew weak from lack of food or too much exercise during the evening's eat-a-thon. A number of superintendents from North Dakota toured Bryce Canyon in the beautifully restored 1938 White Touring Bus. They were all attending the Superintendents Superinten-dents Conference in Zion National Park. |
