Information centers are being readied for their May 1 opening. The council reviewed a general outline out-line for the centers and training procedures, pro-cedures, along with employee regulations. regu-lations. A letter will be distributed to county businesses reminding them to utilize the information centers cen-ters for their brochures. The county's toll-free telephone number for information will not be located at the Panguitch center this summer the group decided but a decision on where to place it was postponed. Representing the travel council at the annual Governor's Conference on Tourism set for St. George April 15-17 will be travel council members Bob Benfield, Bruce Fullmer, Louise Liston, Jean Seilerjohn Houston, Stan Foy, and Kenny Miller. A special committee of travel council members will review proposed pro-posed by-laws for the council to provide a second draft for review by the balance of members. Included on the committee are Bob Benfield, Rick Swanger, Bruce Fullmer, Jean Seiler and Kenny Miller. They will meet April 10 in the office of Bruce Fullmer at the Garfield County Courthouse. Val Church of the Blue Pine Motel in Panguitch pointed out to the council that several community names are missing from the county map in the Utah Council Guide. Council member Rod Syrett said that he had pointed out the problem before with no success in getting changes. The council will meet next at the Hungry Coyote in Tropic on April 18 at 9 a.m. Those wanting to order a no-host breakfast should arrive by 8:30 so breakfast can be served before the meeting starts. |
