Show Escalante Chit Chat Fay Alvev Beumont Griffin is still in St. Marks Hospital. Melvin Alvey met son, Wayne, in Richfield at the Rick Pruitt home and did some carpenter work for Helen and Rick. DUP meeting was held last week with a good attendance. ReNae and Sherman Bundrant of Boise, Ida. spent a vacation here. Son Steve stayed in Boulder at the Coombs Ranch. The Hyrum Colemans had Donna Rae and Joe Barker and daughter, Charlotte from Monroe, and Irene Brown from Casper, Wyo. here. The Arnold Alveys have daughter, Janeen Duncan, here from Wayne Countv. Hal and Geneal Shurtz had daughter Brenda home from school and Hal's brother Verl and wife Maxine, Elaine and Leone Bailey and Lon and Evelyjp Heaps from Salt Lake City. Shirley Marsh had her parents, Max and Evelyn Heap from Cedar City here. The Ushur Spencers had Garl and patsy Cottam from Provo visiting them. Geneal Shurtz went to Panguitch for surgery. The Que Porters had his brother, Max and Shirley here from Kearns. Clarice Griffin had son Clem from Murray and son-in-law, Floyd Davis here from Salt Lake City. The Dale Marshes had Warren and Kathleen Woolsey and boys from Cedar City here. The Delane Griffins had daughter Ann Haws, and boys from St. George here. - ... Laura Baker had" her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Homer George from Salt Lake City visiting. Osmer and Evie Neilson of Parowan were here for the annual Relief Society party held Saturday. Dinner at noon was served to 200 people. Alpine Shirts, Cedar City gave history of southern Utah for the benefit of the sons of the Utah Pioneers. They invited others to share in the experience which was very worthwhile. Alpine stayed with his parents, Morris and Neta Shirts. Freda Sisk is here staying at the Jim Leming home recovering from surgery on her ankle. "The hand is quicker than the eye" was said by sage or quack; to prove the hand is quicker, some eyes become black. |
