A special priesthood i session for Tropic Ward I members will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. in the St. George LDS temple. Next Sunday, general stake priesthood meeting will be held in Escalante at 7 a.m. There will be no meeting for the priesthood classes in Tropic that morning. Debbi Miller and small '" daughter are spending the week with the Stan . Mecham family. Babies blessed in sacrament meeting were: Timothy James Leach, son of James and Elaine Leach. Callie Lee Ott, daughter of KoWan and - Melanie Ott; Amanda Marie Duel, I daughter of Leland nd Kay Duel. Mr. and Mrs. Max IGarna Campbell visited with friends and relatives in Tropic. ' The' Roy Campbells visited his sister the 1 DelRae Pollock family. The senior citizens enjoyed a' dinner at j, , Doug's Cafe, followed by K. a "Show and tell" program. Renone and Alan Hodson visited with the Ray Littlefields. The Littlefields went to Cedar, City to hear the final band concert for the summer in the park. Their grandson is a band member. Some of the Tropic workers have been patching streets. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Chynoweth attended the wedding of her brother, Monty Twitchell and Rita Kleese in the St. George LDS Temple last Friday. Viola Marshal enjoyed a fishing vacation at Pine Lake with her children: LeRoy, David, George, Lucille and Julia Ann and their families. It had been several years since George had been home. The Nyle Richards enjoyed a visit from their daughter Mary and husband, and son Reldon and family from California. The George Dodds family visited the Shakespear brothers and families. Floyd, Greg and Tom Richards and families were home for the weekend. Orlan and Ferriland Ruesch visited and repaired their home. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Don Pollock spent a few days with the Herman Pollocks. The Lester Clarke family met for their annual reunion. Visiting with the Lester L. Clarkes in Tropic were the Alan, John and Wesley Clarke families. The E. R. Shakespears attended a court of honor in Cedar City where their grandson, Kenneth, son of Rett and Christine Shakespear, received his Eagle badge. Colleen Andrus is visiting the Alton Shakespears. Ruth Baugh has two of her nieces from Provo visiting her. The Gail Miles family made an overnight visit with the Arnold Adairs. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Ott, Mr. and Mrs. Sherrill Ott and families, spent Saturday at Zion Park visiting with Bert and Irene Emmett. Kathy stayed in Hurricane to visit with the Davis family. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Lit-tlef ield went to Hurricane Sunday to participate in the blessing of their great-grandson. The little newcomer had three great-grandmothers, two great grandfathers, and two sets of grandparents present for the occasion. The baby is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brent Goeble, and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Beatty. Mr. and Mrs. Afton Pollock attended the wedding reception for their niece and husband in Hurricane Saturday night. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. FerreD Campbell. Katie and Jim Thomas enjoyed a visit from daughter Kathy and her husband John Paul and children from Granger. The kids have visited three consecutive years now to help Tropic celebrate Independence Day. |
