This h one of three teams In the playoffs, Game seasons and daily bag and possession limits were decided by the Division of Wildlife Resources' Game Management Section of the Utah State Wildlife Board. Those affecting hunts in Garfield County and surrounding counties are: Pheasants, November 4-12 statewide, except Daggett, Duchesne and Uintah counties. Daily bag limit, 2 cocks; possession limit, 4 cocks Sage Grouse, September 16-22 for Beaver, Garfield, Iron, Kane, Millard, Piute, Sevier, Wayne and portions of Uintah and Grand counties. Daily bag limit, 3; possession limit, 6. Forest Grouse (blues and ruffed) September 16 through November 30 statewide. Four daily bag limit; 8 possession limit. Chukar Partridge, September 16, 1978 through January 15, 1979 statewide except Cache, Davis, Morgan, Rich, Summit and Weber counties. Limit, 5 daily; 10 possession. Hungarian Partridge, Septembet 16, 1978 through January 15, 1979. Limit, 5 daily and 10 possession. Statewide all having tied for first place la regular league play. There were a total of five teams and biclnded dome 78 players. Winning second was Meathonse and third was Waterhele No. 1. Other teams in the league were SUE Market and 8 C Merc. Hunting Seasons Set By Wildlife Officials except Cache, Davis, Morgan, Rich, Summit and Weber counties. Quail (California and Gambel's) November 4 through 12 statewide except Daggett, Duchesne, Uintah, Washington and Grand counties. Limit, 5 daily; possession 10. Turkey September 16 through October 8. One turkey of either sex is the limit. Open in Garfield, Grand, Iron, Kane, Millard, San Juan, Washington and Wayne counties. Beaver and Piute counties aren't included on the area open classification this year as in past years. Rabbits (cottontail) September 16, 1978 through January 31, 1979 statewide except Box Elder, Cache, Davis, Morgan, Rich, Summit and Weber counties. Daily Bag limit is 10; possession limit, 20. Snowshoe rabbits, September 16 through January 31, 1979, statewide. Limit daily, 5; possession limit, 10. |
