We are happy to have the Kevn Shakespear family back in Tropic The Earl Jolleys attended the Henry Jolley reunion in Provo and met many of their friends and relatives that they had not seen for quite some time. Visiting in Cedar City recently were the Arnold Adairs, Ray Littlefields, Jeannene Pollock. Malen and Sara Lit-tlefield, LaMar and Cheri Feltner were recently in St. George to the LDS Temple. Clara Johnson visited with her daughter in Provo for a few days this past week Judy Adair and children visited with the Arnold Adairs and canned several quarts of vegetables and fruit. Eva Dean Francisco attended the wedding for Donna Craw in St. George. While there she was happy to learn that her daughter Ftobyn had received an LDS Welfare Service mission to Manilla. Philippine Islands. She will leave in November Leon Stewart and family spent the weekend with the Reginald Stewarts Ella Bybee had two grandsons have missionary testimonials, Kevan Bybee, son of Mr and Mrs. Clive Bybee and Steven Bybee, son of Mr and Mrs Mark Bybee Larry Adair is attending an insurance school in Springfield, Illinois for two weeks. The Give By bees had all of their children home for Kevan's testimonial. They put on the program in church as follows: talks, Clive, Thelma, Shaun. Ricky and Kevan Bybee, Chris White and Bishop Franz Shakespear. Musical numbers were organ selection by Lyle J. LeFevre and a song by the Relief Society chorus. A special missionary dinner was held in the ward cultural hall. LaVerle and Stewart Sorenson and Mary Jo Barton were visitors at the Alton Shakespear home. A haby girl was born Sept. 7 to Debbie and Jim Miller in Henderson, Nev. Proud grandfather is Stan Mecham of Tropic. Great grandparents are the Malen Mechams of Tropic and Elmo Bushnells of Henrieville. Keela Mangum and daughter Lacie, are spending a week in Henderson, Nev. with her niece Debbie Miller and getting acquainted with the little new baby girl. Visiting with the larvin Pollocks this past week were her daughters Juanita and Maureen and her family and son David and his family Also Luella Harkins and daughter Bridget. The Jack Chynoweths enjoyed a visit from their daughter Deanna, her husband and five daughters. Mr and Mrs. Jack Pollock have a new granddaughter born to Leo and Jeannie Chynoweth. The great-grandmother from Tropic is Lydia Pollock. A special fireside for all women of the LDS church will be held for Tropic and Cannonville and Henrieville wards in Tropic on Saturday at 7 pm. Laura Cottam and Hannah Goulding were in Tropic visiting with relatives and friends. Roland Bee visited with friends in Tropic. Margaret R. Mecham was released as homemaking instructor in the Relief Society Valerie Grimmer spent a few days in the hospital in Panguitch. Kim Alvey was home with his parents over the weekend. Soma Allen also visited with the Royal Alveys and Truie Allen Ron McGee spent the weekend with the Nielsen sisters in Tropic. Paula Richards was home during the week to attend funeral services for Leland Griffin Don't forget the LeFevre reunion in the Bowrey at the scout house Saturday, Sept 16 |
