Show Around and About Boulder Hi BY LENORA LeFEVRE Over 125 people attended the dedication ceremonies of the new highway. Among those attending were James Yardley, Jim and Ruby Myers of Panguitch; the Earl Woolseys, the Thell Barneys, the John Nor mans, the Randall Lymans and Reeves Baker, of Escalante, Clyde Spencer, Elmo Bush-nell aud Virgil Pollock of the High Council were speakers in Sacrament meeting Sunday, 16. Paul Hansen, accompanied by Mareen Lowe and Larena Hall went to Richfield for a checkup, Paul brought a trailer house here for Larena Hall and LaRy Roundy. Mareen returned to Maine where she will attend scrool. Orvon Shakespear and Nolan Button, who had been to a Coleman reunion, visited Larena Hall on Sunday. Leland and Golda Haws, Ne-ta Poulson and Genevieve Weir made a tour to Bull Frog, Hanksvllle, Wayne County, Hi. te, across the Colorado River bridge, and east end of Boulder Mountain. Neta Poulson and Genevieve Weir went to Salt Lake to attend funeral services for cous- In Lawana's husband Bud Yates, son-in-law of the Ernest Halls, on July 19th. Lightning started a fire between Short Neck and Rock Spring Tuesday evening which burned 350 acres before 150 men could get it under control. There were 3 forest planes bombing the area, 2 caterpll-lers. and two crews from Idaho besides local men. Kent Lyman was honorably discarged from the army because of an old ankle Injury. The hot, dry, windy weather with scattered clouds seems to be the pattern for July. In Boulder it rained for one-half hour Monday. |
