Show Governor To Lead Parade Two Big Rodeos 23rd & 24th Utah's Governor, Calvin L. Rampton will be on hand Friday, July 23rd, to lead the biggest and best parade In the history of Panguitch. He will serve as grand marshal of the parade down Main Street at 5:30 Friday. Many other prominent people are expected to come from Salt Lake City to participate in the Centennial Homecoming festivities. Later in the evening of the 23rd will be seen the first edition of the famed exciting Young and Young Rodeo under lights at the Rodeo Grounds at 8:30. This is one of the greatest wild west rodeo shows around. The stock Is lively and the riders are the best. All floats for the parades must be at the intermediate school at 4:30 Friday afternoon to be judged - this will be the only judging. The same floats will participate In the second parade at 10:00 a.m. Saturday. They must assemble at the Intermediate school grounds at 9:30 that morning. There will be three first place prizes of $25.00 each for the best floats in various categories. The Saturday parade will be followed by a great variety of events; Chuck-wagon dinner, program, ball game, kiddy races, free picture show. etc. The day will be climaxed again that evening by a second prrjntation of the famed Young and Young Rodeo once again under the lights at 8:30 at the Rodeo Grounds. |
