Show PANGUITCH Lee Ann and Leon Hamlin of North Caroline are visiting for a month with her folks, the LeGrande Farnsworths. Dee and Helen Alexander and daughter Marilyn of Provo visited for six days with his brother Archie Alexander and friends in the area, and enjoyed the local fishing and touring Bryce Canyon and other scenic areas. Lyle Miller is home after spending a month with Mike and Elaine enroute to Louisiana and at Baton Rouge where Mike will be attending LSU and Elaine will be working at the Blue Cross-Blue Shield Co. They stopped at Henderson, Nevada and stayed with Mar-lene and Garald Lewis, went on to Lake Mead, through Arizona, New Mexico, El Pasoc Texas, Mexico, through Carlsbad Caverns, Texas, and to Baton Rouge. Lyle flew back to Las Vegas where the Lewis family and Marlene, Melvin and Monica met here and they visited the Lewis family for the wejekend before Lyle and Melvin and family returned home. A Sudweeks family reunion was held at Pine Lake July 17 and 18, there were 53 members present, the first time all brothers and sisters were together. Attending were Dellls LeFevre of Panguitch and family; the Elvin Sudweeks family of Richfield, the Allen Sudweeks family of Layton, the Rodney Sudweeks family of Salt Lake, Leda Pratt and family of Escalante, ReVon Smith and family of Haw thorne, Nevada, Mira Loy Ott and family of Bryce Canyon, DeRell Sudweeks and family of Tropic; also Jane Sudweeks and Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Allen of Tropic were in attendance. The James F. and Sarah Snyder Dickinson reunion will be held at the Bryce Canyon picnic area on July 24. The Joseph L. Dickinson family are hosts this year. Mrs. JoAnne McAllister and Mrs. Nettie Dowdell visited overnight Tuesday at Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Salvatore De Palma of Las Vegas were visitors this week at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Sim E. Dugglns. Mrs. Clark Tebbs and four children were at the home of Mrs. Eva Tebbs over the week end. They are going to Korea in August to join SSgt. Tebbs on a two year tour of duty. While here son Ricky fell from a horse and broke his arm. Mrs. Jay Crosby and sister Mrs. Dick Shumway and two children of Upland, Calif, visited at Salt Lake last week. Maxine came home Wednesday and Mrs. Shumway remained there to be with her father-in-law Amos Shumway who Just had heart surgery; he is reported to be improving. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Richards and Kathy Shumway of Tropic visited Friday, Saturday and Monday at the Jay Crosby home. While here Mrs. Rich- ards had checkups with her doctor and we are happy to say her health has improved. Konroy Hcnrie and Lida O-wens are medical patients in the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. McArth-ur of Montclair, Calif, have been here on vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Sevy and five children of Pleasant Grove visited last week with his folks, Earl and Hazel Sevy. Their daughter Ardis Larsen and three children of Vernon arc visiting them this week. Mr. and Mrs. Robert O. Dickinson of Henderson, Nevada visited with his mother, Mrs. Lula Dickinson last week. Mayo and Erna Riggs visited for three days at Salt Lake last week and brought her mother Mrs. E. T. LeFevre to stay here a while. Berthann Rlggs and Bill King of Salt Lake are visiting her folks this week. Mr. and Mrs. Carvel Henrie spent Sunday to Thursday at Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Don Marshall and.four children of Sandy, Mr. and Mrs. Max Excell and three children of Tabiona, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Excell and daughter of Sunnyside, and Mrs. Bruce Douglas and son from Blandlng spent the weekend at the James Excell home. They all came for the wedding of Dick's daughter Corinne. Jim was down for the occasion from Sandy; he is building a new home for Don and Barbara. Merle Orton of Salt Lake visited last week with her dad, Dee Orton. Bell Cooper is home after spending ten days up north. She stayed with daughter Fay Rosenberg at Tooele and visited family members in the Salt Lake area, made a trip to Wyoming to the Grand Tetons, and enjoyed a family dinner at Sugar House Park with 23 family members. Visitors at the Dell Cooper horriA from Monday to Thursday of last week were Irene's brother and wife. Rusty and Mabel Harris, and friends Ray and Mary Santisteven and son of McGill, Nevada. Ray and Mary entertained townspeople for three nights with singing and guitar playing. Ray is a very talented man, he was blinded in an accident at Ken-necott eight months ago. |
