Missed the mall last week The Roxie Chynoweth family had gatherings on Sunday and Monday evenings those out of here were Katie and John Morton and two sons of Farming ton. Nelda Jolley of Payson. Hud and Thelma Chynoweth and family of California. Mary Lou Nlelson and daughter. Roxie Chynoweth and I .ula Moore spent last week end up North. Lula and Roxie will stay this week and visit in Provo and with relatives up North. Beatrice Barton took her parents up to Ogden, her father Ben stayed and mother came back home, her health is much better. David Rose and Virginia Johnson reported a week ago on their missionary sons and the two families sang a song. The David Roses made a trip to St. George. Their daughter Artoise decided to go back to college this fall. Joyce Partner also went back to Dixie this term. The Kent Johnson family spent the New Year's week end with her parents, the David Qullters. Dewey and Teora Willis made a business trip to Salt Lake. They visited Orlo Gould-ing at the L.D.S. Hospital there. They brought back word that the doctors stopped the hemorrhaging and Orlo seemed better but is still serious. They have had to give him 22 pints of blood, so anyone wishing to contribute blood to help out will be very much appreciated. Barton Smith was hospitalized last Wednesday at Panguitch, he seemed to be on the Improve Sunday, but Monday he had another bad day. Thora Barton was taken to Page hos- pital on Tuesday by Dr. Kazan to a specialist, she is real sick Quite a few others had to have shots etc., College teen agers were all home from CSU. Melba Smith had her mother over several days and had a quilting. Mr. and Mrs Leland Griffin went to Provo last week end and visited son Royce nnd family. The Lee Smiths had Thelma's bro ther, Boyd Alvey. visiting Janet and Guy Evans spent New Year's in Las Vegas visiting brother Hardy Smith and ' family. Dewey and Teora Willis also went in to see Clark Cook of Orem the former Bar bara Meachams husband who is in Valley Hospital recovering from a wreck and was hurt quite badly. Barbara is still recovering from her sick spell and they had just received word that their son In Vietnam was hurt but not serious. We sure hope they have better health in the coming year. |
